Dr. Palmer is President of B. G. Palmer Training and Coaching. Her organization equips individuals, organizations and ministries in starting nonprofit organizations; also provide life coaching to those who want to enhance their lives & careers. She formerly served with distinction as Chair for Urban and Leadership Studies and professor for over twelve years at Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, GA. Key accomplishments include: Developing an urban and global curriculum, creating the Transformational Leader / Community Developer Award, voted Professor of the Year, recipient of the” Make a Difference and Legacy Awards.” She is also the founding administrator of the highly acclaimed Greenforest Christian Academic Center. As Executive Director, she made her mark in community development at one of Atlanta’s leading community development organizations, FCS Community Economic Development.
Palmer possesses over 25 years of experience in: executive leadership, educational administration, community economic development and training. Training niche includes: Business development, Nonprofit Development, Board development, Fundraising / grant writing, Leadership development, Curriculum development and Job readiness. Her international training experiences include presentations at the City Business College of London, the Christian University of North Haiti and Western Regional Mission Council’s Empowerment Conference, Montego Bay, Jamaica. As director of Unconditional Love for Children Foundation, she frequently travels to Jamaica to perform mission/educational training at elementary schools.
Palmer was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from Tabernacle Bible College and Seminary, earned a M.S. Degree in Urban Economic Development from Eastern University, a B. A. in Human Services Administration from Antioch University, an associate in Urban Ministry from The Center for Urban Theological Studies and completed studies in business administration at Temple University. Palmer is certified in Faith-based Community Economic Development through Harvard University Divinity School Summer Leadership Program and is a certified life coach/trainer through Dream Releaser Coaching.
A noted inspirational speaker, she is the author of an inspiring Autobiography, Beyond Success: My Amazing Journey to Significance. . She takes seriously her civic responsibility and has served on several Boards and is a mentor to many young women. (Member, Leadership Atlanta, Christian Community Development Association, Sisters on the Journey, Inc.; former, National Assoc. of Black MBA’s, Eastern University – Economic Development Advisory Board). She is an avid member of Greenforest Community Baptist Church in Decatur, GA.
